JOCKE BENGTSSON MADE IT TO THE GAMES!

We are proud to announce that our athlete Jocke Bengtsson has qualified for the Games in masterclass! An undoubtedly will and full dedication sure can make you go far – despite uncertain expectations. We had a chat with Jocke to learn more about his competition nerves. 

Congratulations Jocke on making it to the Games! Did you expect this?

Thank you so much! No, I did not expect this. I’ve been feeling in less good shape than last year so this was really a surprise.  

How does the preps look like now?

I will keep training as usual. Although I will increase the amount of workouts as closer we get to the competition.                         

Tell us about your hopes for the Games.

Wow, that’s so hard to answer! But I will be truly happy if I reach top 10. 

Who do you look out for?

I actually do not lay any focus on my competitors, it just takes a lot of energy. I’m better off putting it all on my training!

What’s your receipt for success?

Smart workouts. Listen to your body. If you’re feeling tired and sore, you should definitely take an extra day off. Reach for quality during your workouts, rather than just keep going because it’ll break you.

Tell us about the Games!

It’ll be three days of competing, at 3–4 times a day. We get tested on different skills and the lowest ranking on each event gives the highest score. The winner is the one with the highest score after three days.

What are your expectations for the Games?

Enjoy it all! I’ve been fighting for this for the last three years so I’ll just live for the moment.

I will definitely bring my orange CLN Impact Shorts!
